What is Shopthru?

Shopthru connects shoppers, publishers, and retailers in a single ecosystem that makes product discovery and purchase seamless, while ensuring everyone is rewarded fairly.

How does it work?

When you browse content from your favourite publishers or creators, whether it’s an article, video, or recommendation, Shopthru makes it possible to purchase directly from retailers using embedded links without leaving the page.

Orders and payments are processed as normal, directly with the retailer. Behind the scenes, Shopthru tracks the transaction and ensures the publisher or creator receives the commission they deserve.

How much does it cost?

Everything is processed on a CPA basis. Retailers only pay a small fee when a sale is made.

How is Shopthru different from traditional affiliate marketing?

We’re similar in model but different in execution. Shopthru is the only solution that guarantees 100% attribution for publishers and creators, and allows the entire checkout experience to happen within the discovery environment so consumers never need to leave the page.

How do we integrate with Shopthru?

We offer plug-and-play connectors for major ecommerce platforms, as well as offering support for product and order feeds. We can also offer options for custom API integration if needed.

Do I need a developer to connect my store?

No. Our ecommerce connectors are designed to work without any development work required. For custom platforms, API access is available.

How long does it take to integrate?

With our ecommerce connectors, integration takes less than 10 minutes. For custom setups, reach out and we’ll help guide the process.

Is there a contract?

No. You’re only committed for the length of your refund period, which allows us to process any pending commissions. There are no ongoing monthly or annual fees.

Can I offer different commission rates to publishers?

Absolutely. We encourage custom commission rates to help build strong relationships. These can be configured directly in your portal or with help from our Brokerage Team.

Can I offer exclusive discounts?

Yes. Exclusive discounts are a great way to stand out and increase your chances of being featured. All discounts are hidden from public view and remain visible only to your chosen audience. You stay in full control.

What data will I see?

You’ll continue to receive all order and customer data as usual via your ecommerce platform or ERP. Shopthru connects directly with your existing setup.

What payment options are available?

Because Shopthru connects directly with your payment provider, all your usual payment options are available to customers at checkout.

How are commission payments approved?

There’s no approval process required. Because Shopthru tracks the full transaction within the discovery environment, attribution is automatic and guaranteed. You never need to manually approve commissions.

How do I integrate?

Just add a JS tag to your site to enable our Embedded Checkout.

If you’d rather use Storefronts, no integration is required. Simply add products to a campaign in our portal, click “Generate,” and your Storefront is ready to share via email, social media, or newsletters.

What’s the difference between Embedded Checkout and Storefronts?

Embedded Checkout lets consumers buy directly from retailers without leaving the page. Think of it as bringing the retailer’s store directly into your content. It’s ideal for editorial features and articles.

Storefronts are curated collections of products displayed on a branded landing page. They’re perfect for creators and publishers looking to share recommendations through newsletters or social media with no integration required.

Who handles payments and fulfilment?

You don’t need to worry about that. Customers purchase directly from the retailer, who handles fulfilment and customer service.

How do I get paid?

Retailers set their own commission rates in the Shopthru portal. When a sale is attributed to your content, Shopthru captures the commission and holds it for a minimum of 14 days (or in line with the retailer’s refund policy). Once the return window has passed, we settle the payment with you minus the Shopthru network fee.

How much does it cost?

Shopthru charges a 10% override fee, but only on successful transactions. This fee is taken from the total commission generated and deducted from the retailer’s payout. You always get your full share.

Can I use Shopthru alongside other affiliate networks?

Yes. Shopthru works seamlessly alongside other networks. In fact, we encourage you to compare performance to see the difference real-time attribution makes.
